Basic Service Plan If you need the convenience and peace of mind that comes with a pre-paid on-site service plan then the Basic Service Plan is for you. For a single annual fee your service needs are covered. A trained Alpha field service representative can respond to service requests at your location during regular office hours within the next business day. Your service plan includes all Parts, Labor, Travel and other expenses associated with equipment service (battery replacement is provided on a pro-rata basis during the batteries' warranty period as they do wear out over time). This plan also permits you to add valuable service options including Scheduled Preventative Maintenance visits and Remote Monitoring. You can even budget for battery replacement by selecting the Battery Renewal option.

Emergency Service Plan If your organization cannot afford downtime, then the Emergency Service Plan is for you. For a single annual fee, your service needs are covered 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. A trained Alpha field service representative can respond within four hours to emergency service requests at your location. Your service plan includes all parts, labor, travel and other expenses associated with equipment service (battery replacement is provided on a pro-rata basis during the batteries' warranty period as they do wear out over time). This plan also permits you to add valuable service options including scheduled Preventative Maintenance visits and Remote Monitoring. Preventive Maintenance Preventative maintenance is an important part of ensuring your UPS continues to provide emergency backup power when needed. The source of backup power is the batteries at the heart of your system. Normally an annual preventative maintenance visit will ensure that your batteries and system are up to the job. Selecting the Preventative Maintenance option reduces the cost of Battery Renewal. A preventative maintenance visit from an Alpha field service representative includes:
Confirm UPS is properly installed with appropriate breaker
Clean or replace air filters
Check and repair all battery connections as required
Test individual cells for voltage and impedance
Clean, inspect and test as necessary the operation of inverters, transformers, switches and other components
Perform a thermal scan using IR thermographs to check final condition of the UPS and associated circuitry
Prepare a report on UPS condition with recommendations as necessary.

Battery Renewal Your batteries wear out over time, even if they are not frequently called into service. Battery Renewal is an option that permits you to budget for eventual battery replacement. When it is time to replace your batteries the complete cost of battery replacement is borne by Alpha. In addition, Alpha will assume all responsibility for recycling of your used batteries. The cost of Battery Renewal is lower when a Preventative Maintenance program is in effect. Preventive Maintenance An on-going preventive maintenance program helps ensure optimum system reliability and equipment life. Alpha’s service plan options include performing routine scheduled maintenance, testing of local and remote alarm operation, and analyzing local data for special requirements. Local service logs are updated and information is uploaded to Alpha’s central database.
