Dear Valued Customer,
The purpose of this Bulletin is to alert you on recent changes in Alpha's UPS products, including:
• Alpha FXM 650, 1100 and 2000 series
• Alpha Micro 300 and 1000 series
• Alpha Micro Secure 100
Alpha Technologies has recently introduced new versions of firmware for these products:
Firmware 1.07 is the new standard firmware for our UPS products. All units shipped starting July 22, 2010 will operate on this new firmware package. Additionally, these units will feature several new hardware enhancements, including a brighter, easier to read blue LCD display.1
Firmware 1.07R is an available service pack to upgrade our earlier UPS products. All units shipped prior to July 22, 2010, identifiable by their green LCD display, still operate on Firmware 1.06 and are eligible for upgrade using Firmware 1.07R.2
To effectively manage this transition, we are changing our part numbers on affected models. We advise our customers to refer to the following table to determine if your product has been impacted. Please use the new part numbers to place orders in the future.
