Alpha introduces it's newest enclosure line, the GR-487 compliant Te4(x). The Te40 to Te43 provides an 84-inch tall enclosure that is configurable to a range of different requirements.
Existing configurations include a dual compartment DC power and battery (Te41), a battery enclosure (Te40), a special applications auxiliary enclosure (Te43) and a radio power amplifier (MCPA)(Te42) enclosure all providing examples of the inherent modular design.
A number of options and features are available including top extension, plinth, various power components, slide-out trays, 19 or 23-inch rack configurations and many more. The 84-inch lineup is adaptable to any number of potential applications and can also be provided in different heights while maintaining the integrity of common components throughout the lineup.
The Te44 is a large format battery enclosure (LFBE) designed specifically to meet the size and installation specifications of GNB 100G31 battery packs, is supplied in a single or double rack format and it is field expandable. This enclosure is designed to build on site, providing convenience for installation of the battery racks. It is equipped with an air conditioner, heater and options including a spill containment tray, a two-stage hydrogen alarm detector and a DC evacuation fan.
The Te4(x) line-up is third-party agency certified to meet GR-487 requirements. Compliance includes 30-day salt fog, Zone-4 seismic and 70mph wind driven requirements, as well as several other criteria.

The internal environment is controlled by HVAC equipment consisting of fans, a heat exchangers, or an air conditioner. A split system (See Figure 1) significantly reduces Opex and Capex by a greatly reduced air conditioning load.
